  • What are the trail conditions on Spinal Tap?

    • Check out the links on our Trail Maps & Conditions page. They'll take you to a couple places on Trailforks that show the conditions submitted by riders. ​​​

  • Is Spinal Tap a trail for beginners?

    • No, that's the short answer

    • Long answer: Spinal Tap is rated blue (intermediate), and black (advanced) with all kinds of natural and human-made features, such as drops, jumps, rock gardens, steep berms, and log rolls. We highly recommend the trails Kiln-It and Cairn-age for beginners, both are in the lower part of the Pahvant trail system. 

  • When is the Spinal Tap trail open?

    • Lower Spinal Tap and the lower Pahvant trails open April 1​

    • Middle Spinal Tap is usually dry and rideable in early to mid-May

    • Upper Spinal Tap is typically dry and rideable in mid June

  • Who are the owners? â€‹

    • Adam Parslow - born and raised in Sevier county, loves the mountains surrounding Richfield, BA in Outdoor Recreation from Utah State University, three summers as a river guide in Moab, he's a professional land surveyor, loves to chat bike parts and historic bike design, and is an avid mountain biker. Lives in Richfield, UT year round!

    • Karlie Fitzgerald - born in Illinois, BA in Marketing from Utah State University (Go Aggies!), spends most of her free time mountain biking across Utah and playing with her dog, supporting women in sports and mountain biking, loves the Richfield area, and is full of positive vibes and enthusiasm. Works remotely from Salt Lake County.
